How much federal income tax do they take out?
Do they take out a certain percentage like state tax? If so how much? I’m trying to figure out how much my take home pay will be. I also know that it depends on how many exemptions you claim.
well, from your paycheck is taken 6.2% for social security taxes, 1.45% for medicare taxes, state taxes at whatever the rate is for what state you live in, and federal withholding depends on your yearly salary, your marital status, and how many exemptions you claimed on your W-4 form. I have attached a link to a website that can help with paycheck calculations.

The percentage they take out for federal depends not just on how many exemptions you claim and your filing status, but also on the gross pay on that paycheck, and how often you are paid.
