how much does it cost to create a new menu for a restaurant?
a friend of mine is a chef and a restaurant owner wants him to come in and create a new menu for him but he does not know what to charge him for revamping their menu. can someone help me please.

The bad part is that all restaurant owners already have their mind made up about the way they want the menu to look. So they are quick to find fault with any idea that does not correspond with theirs..
It depends as to whether he is just going to write out a new menu or teach the existing chefs how to prepare the new menu.
It depends on how big and plush the restaurant is and whether the chef gets to put his name on the restaurant or the menu. Also how well known the chef is. Gordon Ramsey setting out a menu for a very expensive menu will cost a lot more than a standard chef called Fred working with the local greasy spoon!
I suggest that your chef friend works out a reasonable hourly rate and then negotiates with the restaurant owner. Sounds like the restaurant needs a good chef as well as this is usually the incumbent chef’s job.
