italian restaurant eating guide? watching weight? help?
i recently lost a lot of weight. im still on a strict caloric intake, but i am going out with family and friends sunday night for dinner. we are going to Salvatore’s, which is an italian restaurant, like Bertuccis. i was wondering what i should order that will not have too many calories in it. also, what foods should i avoid? here is the menu: http://www.salvatoresboston.com/SalvLawd…
what should i order? and tell me how many calories are in it as well! (about) and if i should make any modifications
The link didnt work but I just left an italian place and had marsala chicken, steamed spinach and a house salad. Avoid the pasta dishes and bread

You can allow yourself one day off.
One day never hurt anyone and it certainly cannot make you gain weight (unless it’s in poop or water weight) … So go ahead and eat what ever you want! Without the guilt! Enjoy yourself! Even people on weight watchers get one day a week where they can eat a bit more than what the diet calls for.
Remember that the goal is not to be skinny, but to be healthy.
Best of Wishes.

Italian is pretty easy. Stick to whole wheat pasta if they offer it. Avoid alfredo, carbonara and marsala sauces and stick with red sauces like marinara. Meat sauce is also high in calories (and fat.) Really marinara is the best. Skip the bread and have a salad before your pasta. Ditch the caesar dressing and go for low-fat italian or oil & vinegar.
