*Just like most western countries, they too are fond of fish, chips, burgers coke ….etc etc !!

As Australia is a very multicultural society, there is no single answer to that question. Australians eat a variety of Italian, Greek, Chinese, Vietnamese and Indian food, as well as "aussie" foods like Meat pies.
Most towns will have an indian restaurant References :
I guess we think that Barbecue’s are iconic and they are a big part of our culture, but again, the food cooked on them can vary considerably. Anything from snags, chops and steak to prawns and fish, etc.
Seafood is also a huge part of my diet at least, 80% of our population lives near the coast so Seafood is abundant and commonly eaten. Ethnicity plays a big part depending on which state you are in. Victoria for example has a large European influence, Greek and Italian for instance, so a lot of Mediterranean food is eaten there. NSW has a larger Asian influence, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and so that is reflected gastronomically. But you will find pretty much any nationalities cuisine and restaurants in most large cities.
I live in a relatively small town and we have two Indian restaurants, several Chinese, a Japanese, a Mexican, Thai, Spanish (tapas bar), seafood, if that gives you an idea.
Not to mention, McDonalds, KFC, Aporto, Hungry Jacks and Subway.
It’s hard to say anything is uniquely Australian as we are only a couple of years old, I mean meat pies are English, but we assume they are iconic, bbq’s are ancient, but we love em. Maybe, if anything, Kangaroo, Emu, Beetroot and Pineapple, oh and tomato sauce.
