Indian food delivered regularly to home?
I’m an Indian student living in Atlanta and I was wondering if someone knows about Indian food catering to deliver food to my house regularly as I can’t cook and I don’t have a car because I’m student….any help?
U know my husband n I were just kicking around the idea to open up such a business. He is Pakistani n a wonderful cook. Anyway, try leaving a flier (flyer?) at Indian businesses. Tell friends who could spread the word, maybe some lady who stays home would like to do this for u.
Good luck!

Also look through the Classifieds section of the newspaper or put an ad there. Ask your Indian friends and Indian restaurants, at least one of them might know someone.
And to reply to the first answer; please define ‘American food’.

Um, not quite sure how to break this to you, but you may have to take up cooking. There are a fair number of indian restaurants in Atlanta but Indian food in America is of very poor quality, and only a few of the restaurants in Atlanta deliver (you can get an up to date list from your local yellow pages).
I’d recommend getting Indian groceries online. There are some excellent Indian grocery stores and they’ll deliver right to your door.

Every city has an Indian restaurant. Check http://www.whitepages.com to see if there is one in your area.

Hi Arthur,
Try your campus newspaper to see who has ads and coupons.
Check the dorm message board. The delivery services usually leave menus there.
Look in the phone book (physical or online) and make some calls! Even if they don’t deliver, get a group of folks together for a Tuesday night delivery, when business is slow.
As a last resort, do a search online for "Dinners Delivered." This is a service that delivers from restaurants that don’t have their own delivery service. They are very expensive.
Good luck!

If you are a good student then go get a good cook book and learn to cook. It’s not that hard and you will save money for your education this way too.

Place an Ad on Sulekha Classifieds or Rediff Classifieds. People who can deliver food will get in touch with you. These are mostly people who cook at home and cater.
