They might accept it over the phone when you are placing the order. The delivery guy will not have a credit card reading devise with him we are not that advanced in technology yet.

Tell them you have a debit card when you call in the order. You might have to read them the number over the phone. No delivery guy is going to have a credit card swiper in his car.

You have to ask the particular place if they do or don't. Some do now some still don't. If they do they take your info over the phone and you sign the receipt when they delivery your food.

If they accept credit cards then they will accept a debit card as long as it's from the major companies, like MasterCard, Visa, etc. They may require a minimum purchase amount. Call and find out what their criteria are.

You'd have to check with each individual restaurant, some do, some don't. If they take a credit card over the phone, they should take debit since it works pretty much the same way, but each place has its own policies with cards.
