Great Fold-up Olympic Bench Press
I bought this bench due to the fact the value was appealing and since I required something that would fold up and take up a reduced amount of space since it is being stored in our bedroom. I was really surprised at how sturdy its for a folding bench. The bench is solid and folds up and stores really easily in a small space. The mid width is perfect for my 6′ bar. It will handle 6′ and 7′ bars but you won’t be able to use it with a bar a less than 6 feet long (the distance between the uprights is too broad for shorter bars). It is quite stable and broad enough that you don’t pinch your hands when re-racking the bar. It is not as heavy duty, stable or broad as an olympic size bench but it is fewer than half the value of an excellent olympic width bench and takes up much a smaller amount space also. And you will find no folding olympic width benches obtainable that I know of (not to mention I don’t have the room for a bench that wide). The uprights have a great range of adjustment heights and may be turned around to do squats. The adjustment pins seem a little thin to me but this isn’t a gym quality Olympic bench.
