I also need a dressmaker to make my dress. I know what I want in my head but I will need them to draw and make, does anyone know an awesome dressmaker in Perth, who is relatively cheap. (Not over $450) And I need to find a licenced venue, where it is also BYO as I want to bring kegs of beer. If anyone could help I would be extremely grateful!!!!

Not sure you really need a caterer for this. Do you want staff serving and clearing present for the entire event or would it be more romantic if just you two? If the latter try the specialty food stores in Virginia Highlands area for a special picnic basket. You may find more ideas in Creative Loafing.

Looking to hire a property for the weekend or day to have a catered cocktail party. It would be good if the property could have a serviceable kitchen, to prep food for 60-80 guests and a large outdoors area, with nice views. Any suggestions??

Hi. It depends on your venue.

If you are having this at a hotel or another banquet facility, then chances are the venue provides the linens. This will be in your contract.

If you are having it at any other site: VFW Hall, etc., then chances are the venue does not have linens.

Some caterers will provide linens, but this would most likely be in addition to the food costs. But….then again, some MAY provide linens. Again, this would be in any kind of contract.

If you have not already chosen a venue or a caterer, then just ask up front once you decide to book!!

As you are probably finding out with weddings, not all places are the same! Some vendors will provide things such as linens included in their package price. For others, these things will need to be purchased separately.

How was the staff – food, cost?

I used to live there but I don’t know about them. Can you call them and get references? Any good business wouldn’t have a problem giving references. You can always set up an appointment to discuss what you’re looking for to get prices. There shouldn’t be any charge for that.

Subway is a great solution, especially last minute.
they will give you a platter of cut up subs and I usually get a big platter of cookies as well!

Caterers will provide whatever you need. They will, however, charge you extra for it.
