Interior Decorating
Interior Decorating is a two-year College Diploma program designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a career in one of the many segments of the interior decorating field. Drawing, presentation and drafting techniques (both manual and computer-aided) will be developed. Interior decorating is generally focused more on finishes, such as wallpaper , paint , window coverings , and furnishings . Interior design tends to be more integrated with the architecture , and in addition to the above areas, might also be involved in cabinet making , room layout, window placement, appliance selection, tile and floor selection, and so on. Interior Decorating is both a science and an art, a business and a profession. A designer uses his or her own creativity and practicality to create a surrounding that is “rewarding, inventive and befitting to human needs”.
